IMAGINE HAVING A TOOLKIT FOR OVERCOMING SELF-DOUBT, BUSTING THROUGH FEAR, AND STICKING WITH YOUR BLOG WRITING GOALS
Here’s the thing nobody’s talking about:
Writing your blog consistently is hard
You have to write…a lot. Blog posts, social media updates, emails, sales pages, content upgrades, opt-in offers, printables and on and on
And many days, you just don’t feel like writing.
But if you stop…
Your blog stops and what you’ve built starts eroding. Quickly.
Let’s not let that happen.
Writing Encouragement is a selection of audios I recorded. They’re specifically designed to help you beat back time-wasting procrastination and stick with your blog writing goals.
My goal is to have you feeling like Sigourney Weaver in Aliens: relentless and u-n-s-t-o-p-p-a-b-l-e (in a writerly type of way).
Consider Writing Encouragement your permission slip
Permission to: call yourself a writer and feel proud of your blog, even if you’re still in the traffic-building phase and you have just a handful of people visiting your blog.
Permission to: turn off everything else and block out the time you need to write your blog, even if you’re stealing moments during baby naptime or after your 9-5 job.
Permission to: Stop doubting yourself and start writing your best posts, emails, social media updates and confidently share them with the world, even if your 10th grade English teacher said you’d never be a writer and you feel like you’re not expert enough.
Permission to: Do this. Fully. Because you choose to, despite your nay-saying relatives who just don’t get the whole ‘blogging thing’.
Permission to: Get back on track, even if you have a string of half-finished projects left behind (here’s a secret: you’re not alone. Most of us do).
When your head hits the pillow after a long day, you want to feel proud of yourself for checking off your to-do list, getting your writing completed, and doing what needed to be done.
When I started my first blog in 2012, I felt enthusiastic about blogging. So much possibility and chance to be creative.
But I quickly realized that every day wouldn’t feel like that. As a blogger, you have 09485204385093458 things to do (I’ve counted). And they all have a deadline of yesterday.
Sitting, focusing, and writing content is the last thing you want to do.
That’s why it’s the first thing your brain resists.
But the thing is…
You need to write. Consistently.
Despite the overwhelm.
Despite the self-doubt
Despite not wanting to.
I created Writing Encouragement to share the specific mindset tricks and action steps to keep writing.
Here’s what you get with Writing Encouragement
You get 10 audios total, one each day via email.
These aren’t just audios telling you to ‘keep going’. Each audio contains practical steps you can take to turn your feelings around and get those fingers tapping away again on your keyboard.
Each audio is themed
Audio 1: When you feel like nobody’s reading/appreciating your blog posts
Audio 2:When you can’t seem to write consistently or meet your writing goals.
Audio 3: When you’re not earning the money from your writing (or blog) that you’d like.
Audio 4: When you feel that nobody ‘gets’ you/your writing.
Audio 5: When you don’t feel good enough (or expert/qualified) enough to write.
Audio 6: For when your inspiration well has run dry, and you don’t know what to write about
Audio 7: When you just don’t want to write (or do) anything.
Audio 8: When someone says/writes something mean about your writing.
Audio 9: When your guest post and podcast pitching emails are being ignored, or worse yet…rejected.
I want to thank you for creating Writing Encouragement. I’m just getting started with my blog and it helps so much already. The first one alone has been so inspiring. Especially today when I was wondering if anyone is watching my videos or reading my blog or Facebook posts. This really helped me to keep going and stop doubting myself and questioning everything. Thank you. -Trynette Lariba www.curvyfitchicks.com
How to use the audios
You can listen at the beginning of the day to give yourself a writing boost.
Listen mid-afternoon when that slump hits and you can’t bear writing even one word.
Sometimes you need to step away, go for a walk, and take Writing Encouragement with you. Slap those headphones on and hit that reset button.
These audios are worth their weight in chocolate (+wine + Netflix). Except none of those will help you get back on track and write.
The audios will help you beat those self-sabotaging impulses to a pulp right when they crop up.
This isn’t a course or a challenge. It’s your go-to resource to help you stay focused and on-track.
