A few weeks ago, while journaling, my mind flooded with thoughts of all the habits and hindering behaviors I wanted to stop. Later that day, I wrote about it and shared it here on the blog.

This morning, to counter what I’m going to stop doing, I prompted myself to write a stream of consciousness on things I want to start.

I want to share them with you and encourage you to think about thoughts, feelings, and habits you want to start for yourself.

So, here goes:

Today, I have decided to start

Being me

Accepting myself

Believing I can

Knowing I will

Feeling I am

Restarting again

Dancing my joy

Singing my tune

Playing for no reason

Walking slowly

Forgetting quickly

Listening deeply

Giving more

Complaining less

Sharing what I know

Feeling who I am

Being open to change

Listening to my dreams

Cherishing my heart

Growing my own garden

Planting seeds of hope

Loving my life

Living my joy

Loving myself

I have decided to start

Writing for love and money
Both take courage

I write for love (of the craft)

I write for money (my writing work makes up a chunk of my income)

A couple of times a month, I send out an email with a personal story and a lesson on writing for love and writing for money, and the courage it takes to do both.

You should sign up (of course, I'm only slightly biased).

I'm a writer and storyteller currently living in London and juggling multiple creative projects. I’d like to say that it's always easy, but the truth is there are times when things get messy. Still, it's the life I've chosen, and I love it. My intention is to keep my projects spinning and stay true to my voice.
